Allo是Google開發的一個即時通訊應用，其內建了一個虛擬助手Google Assistant，還提供了「智能回覆」功能，允許用戶不用打字即可回覆訊息。[2]Google在2016年5月18日的I/O大會首次宣佈這款應用[3]，並於2016年9月21日將其正式推出[1]。這款應用同時提供Android和iOS版。[1]Allo的加密功能被預設停用，被質疑可能導致被竊聽或被政府監視。現該項目已遭Google暫停開發，轉往新的RCS訊息應用Messages。[4]2019年3月後停止工作[5]。

預設模式[編輯]
通過Google的機器學習技術，Allo的「智能回覆」功能在收到訊息後將提供幾個推薦的回覆選項，用戶可以從中選擇一個答覆。該技術也支援分析圖像內容。與Google Inbox中的智能回覆功能類似，隨着時間的推移，推薦的回覆內容會根據用戶的使用習慣進行調整。[8]Allo支援對談型虛擬助手Google Assistant。[1]
「高呼或耳語」[9]功能允許用戶調整一個訊息的字型大小，以此來表示說話的聲音大小。[10]
Allo還允許用戶在傳送相片前進行塗鴉。[1]
無痕模式[編輯]
無痕模式是一個可選模式，功能包括聊天記錄自動刪除、私密通知和端到端加密。使用Signal協定加密訊息內容。[11]
啟用無痕模式後，將不能使用智能回覆和Google Assistant功能。[12]若此時用戶收到一個裝置上沒有的貼圖，應用將通過加密連接從Google伺服器上檢索對應的貼圖包。[12]

PC World的Mark Hachman讚揚了Allo中的虛擬助手Google Assistant，稱這是「Cortana和Siri的升級版」。[13]
訊息未加密[編輯]
繼Google在I/O大會上介紹Allo後，就有安全專家和私隱倡導者批評Google預設關閉端到端加密設置的決定，他們認為這會使應用被政府監視。[11][14]稜鏡計劃告密人、前NSA職員愛德華·斯諾登在Twitter上批評了這個應用，稱「Google預設禁用新推出的Allo聊天應用中階到端加密設置的決定很危險，這會使應用不安全。」[14][15]Google產品安全團隊的一位負責人Thai Duong曾在個人網誌中表示他將推動增加一個讓用戶可以隨時保持加密狀態的設置，但他後來又收回了聲明。[16][17]
訊息的保留[編輯]
Allo剛剛宣佈時，其開發者說伺服器儲存非匿名訊息的時間非常短暫[6][18]，即訊息已運抵達目的地後，便會從Google的伺服器自動刪除。然而在產品推出後，Google卻表示他們會將會永久儲存所有非匿名訊息（除非用戶主動刪除），並稱這是為了讓「智能回覆」功能給用戶更好的體驗。[18]The Verge的Russell Brandom評論稱「這個決定將會對執法部門訪問Allo訊息的行為產生重大影響。現在，Allo的訊息在預設情況下可以被執法部門訪問，就像Gmail和Google Hangouts的訊息數據一樣。」[18]
