威廉·卢卡斯·迪森（英语：William Lucas Distant；1845年11月12日—1922年2月4日），英国昆虫学家。
生平[编辑]
威廉·卢卡斯·迪森出生于伦敦罗瑟希德，捕鲸船船长亚历山大·迪森（Alexander Distant）的儿子[1]。1867年，随同父亲捕鲸之旅至马来半岛引起他对自然史的兴趣（他自认1867年8月5日是他一生中最忙碌的一天[1]），后来结稿成书《Rhopalocera Malayana》 （1882－1886）[2]，书中记载关于马来半岛蝴蝶生态。早年他多数时间都待在伦敦制革厂工作，因此，受雇于人的他得以对川斯瓦共和国（Transvaal）进行2次较长时间采访，并结稿成书《A Naturalist in the Transvaal》 （1892）。第2次采访时（有4年些许），给予他足够时间采集大量昆虫标本，多数结稿成书如《Insecta Transvaaliensia》（1900–1911）。1890年，他娶了伊迪丝·布兰奇德·迪·茹沛。1897年，他继詹姆斯·埃德蒙·哈丁担任期刊《动物学家》主编[1]。1899年至1920年 ，他受聘于自然历史博物馆工作，将采集所发现许多新物种登载，并大部分时间致力于半翅目（学名：Hemiptera，意大利语：Rhynchota，真实昆虫）。
