屋顶清洗，彻底清除屋顶的污垢、藻类和苔藓。[1][2]屋顶清洗可以延长屋顶的生命周期，[3]而且烟灰、污垢或生物的存在多少影响屋顶吸收太阳光的热量。清洁可用漂白剂、醋液、各种清洁产品或商业清洁服务来完成。此外，在屋顶顶部加盖锌板，可减少藻类和苔藓的再生。

屋顶清洗设备可以使用高压水喷雾和旋转刷。[4]
