圣约翰学院（英语：St John's College）是牛津大学的一个大型学院。[2]1555年，由托马斯·怀特爵士创建。圣约翰学院是牛津大学资金最充足的学院之一，2010年财政捐款达3.13亿英镑。[3][4]
历史[编辑]
1555年5月1日，托马斯·怀特爵士（后来任伦敦市市长）获得皇家特许，在牛津大学内建立起了一个教育学生的慈善机构。
最初圣约翰学院的建筑位于牛津圣吉尔斯西部，位于贝利奥尔学院和三一学院以北。同时其规模也不大，并没有什么捐款。伊丽莎白一世即位之后教授修辞学和辩证法等一些内容，不直接教授神学，但是其教育目的却是培养神职人员。[5]
