Xbox Game Pass（简称XGP）由微软Xbox所提供有关于电子游戏的订阅服务，目前由旗下Microsoft Gaming部门持有。在Xbox Game Pass当中的游戏库，适用于家用游戏机平台的Xbox Series X/S及Xbox One、电脑平台的Windows 10、Windows 11及透过xCloud（英语：Xbox Cloud Gaming）云至Android在手机App上游玩和至浏览器网页端游玩。Xbox Game Pass当中包括部分过往从初代Xbox、Xbox360上推出过的游戏、至到近年及新推出的游戏，其中Xbox Game Pass亦包含EA Play的游戏库内容[1]。

微软于2017年2月28日在节目Xbox Insider中初次公开，作为游戏订阅的Xbox Game Pass存在。与Xbox Live Gold分开两者并不会捆绑，即使没有使用Xbox Live Gold也可独立使用。[2]

在2017年的E3游戏展中微软公布在Xbox One使用Xbox Game Pass可以游玩初代Xbox开始到Xbox 360的游戏。[3]并且将会逐渐增添更多画质提升的游戏[4]。

在2018年1月23日微软发布Xbox Game Pass消息，表示会一直扩充阵容，第一方的Xbox游戏工作室旗下所有新发布游戏，将会在发售于平台当日同步登陆Xbox Game Pass阵容当中[5]。及后在2018年3月20日作为当时的新作《盗贼之海》同步登陆在Xbox Game Pass作为新登场作品。其后亦同时发表《腐烂国度2（英语：State of Decay 2）》、《除暴特警3》、《极限竞速 地平线4》、《战争机器4》、光环系列等作品都会登陆，往后相关系列新作亦会与Xbox Game Pass同步[6]。

微软在2019年5月发表关于Xbox Game Pass的新消息，增加关于Windows10的部分，追加Xbox Game Pass PC、将会提供至少超过一百款PC游戏[7]。

在2019年4月18日微软公布推出将“Xbox Game Pass”与“Xbox Live Gold”两者合并的“Xbox Game Pass Ultimate”(简称XGPU)作为可升级订阅服务，会于2019年6月9日开始提供有关服务[8]。同时在2019年6月9日针对Windows10的部分“Game pass for PC”亦会追加包括在XGPU其中[9]。

微软在2020年第三季的业绩发表、表示使用Xbox Game Pass的会员人数已经超过1000万人[10]。

2020年9月15日起“Xbox Game Pass Ultimate”再追加新服务，追加云游戏部分的“Project xCloud（英语：Project xCloud）”，以欧美地域为首个服务地区、Android作为先发平台会有100款以上游戏作品可以游玩、iOS则当时阶段暂未开始作为日后预定追加平台[11][12]。

另外在2020年9月初微软与艺电共同发表、“EA Play”将会在2021年加入于“Xbox Game Pass”阵容、使用PC平台（Windows 10）“Game pass for PC”亦可以游玩多数的EA发行的作品[13][14]。

在2020年9月21日微软公布使用Xbox Game Pass的会员人数已经超过1500万人，并且宣布以75亿美元的价格收购贝塞斯达其母公司ZeniMax Media以及其旗下全部工作室和IP资产。此次收购后毁灭战士、德军总部、异尘余生、上古卷轴、恶灵附身等IP游戏成为Xbox游戏工作室的第一方IP游戏[15]。

2021年6月，微软表示正在开发一款用于智能电视的Game Pass应用程序[16]。

2021年12月，微软宣布将PC版Xbox Game Pass更名为“PC Game Pass”，该服务同样带有Xbox的Logo[17]。

2022年1月17日，台湾微软正式宣布降低台湾地区的Xbox Game Pass价格，PC Game Pass、Xbox Game Pass for Console、Xbox Live Gold皆从台币359元调降至199元，而高级会员版本Xbox Game Pass Ultimate则从459调降至299元[18]。

2023年7月，微软宣布名为Game Pass Core的新订阅方案将于2023年9月14日取代现有的Xbox Live Gold服务。它将具有与金会员服务相同的功能（包括非免费游戏的在线多人游戏），并在发布时免费提供“超过25款”游戏。[19][20]
