北极五

北极五（Σ 1694）的位置（红圈）
北极五（Σ 1694，斯特鲁维 1694），也称为天枢（不是北斗七星的天枢），是在星座鹿豹座的一颗双星[1]。
北极五是由5.3m的北极五A和5.9m的北极五B这两颗恒星组成的双星：
北极五也称为鹿豹座32H，它不是佛兰斯蒂德命名法命名的，而是约翰·赫维留斯在鹿豹座中命名的第32颗恒星；在拜耳命名法的名称是御夫座ξ。在“共和联邦星表”中，这对恒星被列为小熊座[2]。
中国的名称[编辑]
在中文，北极（Běi Jí），意思是“北极 (星官)”，是包含御夫座ξ、小熊座γ、小熊座β、小熊座5、和小熊座4[3]。因此，Σ 1694本身就是北极的第五颗星：北极五（Běi Jí wǔ）[4]。代表天枢（Tiānshū），意思是“天球的枢纽”[5]。
这颗恒星在汉朝到宋代被中国人视为北极星。
