佛雷德里克·懷斯曼（英語：Frederick Wiseman，1930年1月1日—）是一位美國紀錄片導演和戲劇導演[1]。
生平[編輯]
懷斯曼生於波士頓的猶太家庭，母親和父親分別為Gertrude Leah (née Kotzen) 和 Jacob Leo Wiseman[2]。先後畢業於威廉士學院藝術學專業和耶魯法學院。1954–56年在美軍服役。後來在波士頓大學教授法律。在成為律師後不久就開始執導紀錄片，第一次拍攝的紀錄片是1967年的《提提卡失序記事》，至今共拍攝了40多部作品，並因此獲得了許多獎項的肯定，包括贏得四次艾美獎，以及古根海姆獎和麥可阿瑟獎[3][4]。
2014年8月29日，懷斯曼獲頒第71屆威尼斯影展榮譽金獅獎，影展主席阿貝托·巴貝拉在頒獎致詞中稱懷斯曼是一位偉大的獨立導演，「他創作的40餘部作品全部都是經典，這些作品拼成了一幅連續描繪人類社會生活的壁畫，很多評論家把他比作電影界的巴爾扎克」[5]。
2016年8月30日，和演員成龍、電影剪輯師安娜·寇茨、選角導演林·斯塔馬斯特一起，被美國影藝學院理事會選為2016年奧斯卡終身成就獎得主[6]。
作品風格[編輯]
總體風格是以美國的各種機構為主題，用鏡頭解剖各種機構與人的關係並展示20世紀下半葉的美國社會。其影片拍攝過程往往只花6至8周完成，但是要花大約1年時間去剪輯。[5]
