輕盾兵

輕盾兵 (希臘語：πελταστής）是起源於色雷斯和培奧尼亞的一種輕裝步兵，此類步兵交戰時會攜帶盾牌。武器則是以標槍為主。輕盾兵會將標槍直接扔向敵軍^[1]。前390年，雅典將軍伊菲克拉特斯手下的輕盾兵部隊在利開翁之役中擊敗了斯巴達的一支方陣。 ^[2]
