英國夏令時2017年9月15日 8:20（07:20 UTC），英格蘭倫敦一輛區域線列車在帕森綠地站發生爆炸。有30人在醫院或急救中心接受治療，其中多數被燒傷[3][4]。首都警務機構將事件定性為「恐怖分子」襲擊[4]。

案發前夕，英國多地遭受爆炸襲擊、包括威斯敏斯特、曼徹斯特、倫敦和芬斯伯里公園（英語：2017 Finsbury Park attack）[5]。

事發於西倫敦（英語：West London (sub region)）區域線帕森綠地站一輛東行列車上[6]。目擊者聲稱看到擁擠車廂的後部車廂有火球。多名乘客據報遭到閃光灼傷（英語：flash burn）。其他人衝出現場時被擠傷（英語：Crush injuries）。30人受傷需送往醫院，其中19人由救護車轉送，其餘的自行前往[7]。

爆炸裝置遺留在一個白色塑料桶的購物袋中，暴露出電線和黑色布料，據說還連著計時器[8]。安全部長本·華萊士表示炸彈裝有三過氧化三丙酮（TATP）炸藥，和倫敦七七爆炸案和2015年11月巴黎襲擊事件中採用的炸藥是同種[9]。眾所周知這種炸藥很不穩定，在安裝過程中可能會出現致命失誤，這也是炸彈沒完全爆炸的原因。國防部前反恐主管奇普·查普曼（Chip Chapman）表示：「這東西絕對沒有正確運作，因為1盎司的TATP足以將車門炸開[9]。」

親伊斯蘭國媒體阿馬克新聞社聲稱伊斯蘭國屬下的部門策劃了襲擊[10][11]。倫敦警察廳稱這種聲明「在這種氛圍下十分常見......不管他們之前有沒有聘請涉案個人[12]。」9月17日，內政大臣安珀·路德表示沒有證據表明伊斯蘭國在襲擊背後搞鬼，並補充稱他們會盡力了解襲擊者是如何受激進思想影響的[13]。

英國交通警察局（英語：British Transport Police）主導調查襲擊[14]，倫敦警察廳表示，「數百名警探」參與調查[15]，並發布通緝令緝捕一名（可能兩名）嫌疑人[16]。9月16日，肯特郡警察（英語：Kent Police）公布在多佛爾港（英語：Port of Dover）以疑似恐怖罪[17]逮捕一名18歲的男性伊拉克難民[18]。警方疏散港區部分地帶，同時檢獲多個物體[19]。當天晚些時候，警方突襲並搜索薩里郡森伯里（英語：Sunbury-on-Thames）一處民宅[20]，並在倫敦西部豪恩斯洛逮捕一名21歲男子，同時搜索了薩里郡斯坦威爾（英語：Stanwell）一間和襲擊案有牽連的民居[21][22]。後來據報該名21歲的男子是大馬士革的敘利亞難民葉海亞·法羅卡（Yahyah Farroukh）[23][24]，他於2013年前後來到英國[25]，而18歲男性是伊朗孤兒難民[26]，案發前政府反極端分子部門曾提及該名18歲男子[27]。根據法羅卡的Facebook主頁，他自2013年起就讀於西泰晤士學院（英語：West Thames College）。法羅卡和18歲的伊拉克人長於同一個寄養家庭，他們的房子就在警方在薩里郡搜索的房間中[28]。

嫌犯依照反恐法案（英語：Terrorism Act 2000）第41條被逮捕。法院延長了拘禁嫌犯的合法期限[29]。

9月19日，第三名嫌疑人，25歲男子在威爾斯南部的紐波特被逮捕，警方同時搜索了該市的一處地點[27] 。

  •  美國：美國總統唐納·川普在Twitter上發文：「倫敦再遭襲擊，黑手是一名失敗的恐怖分子。倫敦警察局早就盯上了這些變態瘋子。必須主動出擊！」。[30][31]他隨後還宣傳了自己一直在推動的旅行禁令。[32]川普的言論被英國首相德蕾莎·梅伊形容為「沒有幫助」、「不準確的猜測」。[33]
