Parrot Security OS是一個基於Debian的Linux發行版，專注於電腦安全[2]。它專為滲透測試，漏洞評估和緩解，電腦取證和匿名Web瀏覽而設計，由Frozenbox團隊開發。

ParrotSec旨在提供一套滲透測試工具，用於攻擊緩解，安全研究，計算機取證和漏洞評估。[3]
核心[編輯]
Parrot基於Debian的測試分支（Buster），具有自訂的Linux 4.19核心。 它遵循捲動開發模式。[4]
Parrot採用的桌面環境是MATE，預設顯示管理器是LightDM。
該專案經認證可在至少具有256MB RAM的裝置上執行，並且適用於32位元（i386）和64位元（amd64）處理器架構。[5] 此外，該專案可用於ARMv7（armhf）架構。 它甚至提供了一個專門為伺服器開發的版本（32位元和64位元）[6]，以進行雲服務滲透測試。
2017年6月，ParrotSec宣布他們正在考慮從Debian改為Devuan，主要是因為極具爭議性的系統問題。[7]
截至2019年1月21日，Parrot Linux團隊將逐步淘汰所有的32位元（i386）版本的開發。
