英國的簽證政策是英國政府決定某外國人能否以進入大不列顛及北愛爾蘭聯合王國本土的政策。根据这一政策，对前往英國或者根西岛、泽西岛和曼島等王室屬地的访客以及那些寻求在那里工作、学习或居住的人进行签证要求。除了被豁免以外，所有打算进入的人士都必须申请签证。
英国实行自主的签证政策，并与爱尔兰、海峡群岛和曼島实施共同旅行區。[1]英國海外領土一般都实行不同的签证政策。
英国在2020年1月31日之前是欧盟成员国，欧盟/歐洲經濟區/瑞士公民在2020年12月31日过渡期结束之前享有前往英国的自由。

根据访客规定，英国国民和来自87个国家和地区的人士可以免签证在英国停留不超过6个月（如果从爱尔兰入境，则为3个月）。[4][5][6]

英国移民官员对来自共同旅行區以外的免签证入境时，要对护照持有人的入境许可进行可信度评估。如果获准入境，会在访客的护照（不包括七个国家）上盖章，上面写着 "入境许可六个月：禁止就业和求助于公共资金"。如果使用使用电子护照闸门入境的话，一般不会在护照上盖章。[15][16]
自2019年5月20日起，澳大利亚、加拿大、日本、新西兰、新加坡、韩国和美国公民上述最常见的入境形式，无论他们是使用电子护照闸门，亦或者是使用有工作人员的通道，一般都不会在护照上盖章。[17][18]他们中的三类申请人必须去有工作人员的通道，这种情况下会在护照上盖章：短期学生（最长6个月）；[19]批准的有偿工作；[20]持有Tier 5（临时工人-创意和体育）赞助证明（最长3个月）；[21]或陪同或加入欧盟/欧洲经济区/瑞士公民的家庭成员（他们的护照入境许可中会提到这种情况）。[22][23]
允许英国边防部队官员通过传真或电子邮件准许入境，而不是在护照上盖章。 他们也可以口头（包括通过电话）向免签证入境护照的持有人以访客身份停留长达 6 个月。[24]
在某些通用航空航班的情况下，旅客有时可能无须在抵达时接受英国边防部队的检查（取决于根据旅客事先通过通用航空报告（GAR）表格提交的风险评估），而可能被 "远程放行"。在这种情况下入境并不会在护照上盖章。[25]
所有从爱尔兰（共同旅行區的一部分）直接抵达英国的人，在抵达英国时不需要接受英国边防部队的例行检查。根据《1972年移民（经爱尔兰共和国入境控制）法令》，免签证入境的护照持有人自动被视为获得3个月的入境许可，但在此期间不允许从事有报酬的工作。[26]在这种情况下，进入英国时无须在护照上盖章。[27]
同样，所有在英国和海峡群岛以及曼島（共同旅行區的一部分）之间旅行的人都不需要接受例行的移民检查，也不需要在护照上盖章（尽管有时海关会对在英国和海峡群岛之间旅行的乘客进行检查，因为它们是独立的关税区）。根据《1971年移民法令》附表4，英国王室屬地给予的任何入境许可，其效力如同英国给予的入境许可（反之亦然），条件相同，期限相同。[28][29]
所有从爱尔兰直接抵达王室屬地（海峡群岛和曼島）的访客（即来自共同旅行區的访客）都不需要接受例行的移民检查，也无须在抵达时在护照上盖章。免签证入境的护照持有人自动被视为获得3个月的入境许可，但在此期间不允许从事有报酬的工作。[30][31][32]

| 为了符合免签证入境的资格，爱尔兰签证的申请人必须在印度或中国的英国/爱尔兰签证申请中心申请，[40][41]并在抵达英国之前首先在爱尔兰办理相关手续。持有爱尔兰签发的BIVS签证的人只允许从爱尔兰直接前往英国，而不能从其他国家前往，除非在前往爱尔兰的途中在英国过境。在英国的停留时间不超过目前在爱尔兰的居留许可的剩余有效期。[39]如果通过英国转机前往爱尔兰，并且不晚于其抵达英国的第二天23:59抵达爱尔兰，则不需要英国过境签证。[40]

根据英国的规定，通过英国过境有两种方式 — 空路过境和陆路过境。[132][133][134]自2014年12月1日起，废除原先豁免签证过境的规定，并由新的英国过境规则取代。[135][136]即使是来自 "直接空路过境免签证国家"的人，如果从英国过境到包括爱尔兰在内的共同旅行區，也需要申请过境签证。

- 过境访客签证豁免文件
豁免适用于以下旅客：
- 乘飞机抵达和离开，且
- 续程航班必须得到确认，并且必须在次日 23:59 前起飞且
- 有适当的目的地文件（包括必要时有目的地国家的签证），且
- 符合以下任意一个条件：
- 持有澳大利亚、加拿大、新西兰或美国的有效入境签证，以及经英国作为往返这些国家之一的有效机票，或
- 持有有效的机票，作为从澳大利亚、加拿大、新西兰或美国出发的合理旅程的一部分，如果他们在最后一次进入澳大利亚、加拿大、新西兰之日后不超过 6 个月过境英国持有该国有效入境签证的新西兰或美国；or
- 持有有效的澳大利亚或新西兰居留签证；或
- 持有2002年6月28日或之后签发的有效加拿大永久居民卡； 或
- 持有欧洲经济区国家根据理事会条例（EC）1030/2002颁发的有效统一格式居留证；或
- 持有有效的爱尔兰生物识别签证（BC或BC BIVS）；或

电子签证不能用于陆路过境，如澳大利亚定期发放的电子签证或电子居留证。
需要入境签证[编辑]
前往英国、海峡群岛或马恩岛的访客，如果不符合上述的签证豁免条件，就必须提前申请签证。
所有访客必须通过注册一个在线账户进行申请（朝鲜公民除外，他们必须亲自到英国大使馆申请），填写申请表，支付费用，并到签证申请中心进行预约。[137]
单次逗留或多次逗留不超过6个月的访客签证费用为95英镑。有效期为2年的多次入境访客签证费用为361英镑，5年为655英镑，10年为822英镑。[138][139]中国公民申请两年多次入境访客签证费用为95英镑。[140][141]
欧盟、欧洲经济区和瑞士公民的家庭成员如果不在上述签证豁免范围内，可以免费申请欧洲经济区家庭许可（而不是签证）。[142]
申请大多数类型的英国签证（包括访问签证和欧洲经济区家庭许可）的访客需要提交生物识别资料（所有指纹和数字面部图像），作为签证申请的一部分。[143]然而，外交官、外国政府部长和官员以及英联邦部队成员可免于提交生物识别码的要求。对于已经获发英国签证的申请人，在换发新护照后可以申请将其签证从旧护照转移到新护照上，不需要重新提交生物识别资料。[144]此外，不经过英国或马恩岛而直接前往海峡群岛或直布罗陀的申请人可免于提供生物识别信息。[145]在采集儿童的生物识别码时，必须有成人陪同。生物识别器可能会与外国政府共享。在采集申请热播的指纹和数字面部图像的10年后，生物识别资料将被销毁。[146]
大多数签证申请都会在3周内作出决定。[139]
居住在以下国家和地区的申请人，如果希望在英国停留6个月或更长时间，需要在申请签证时提交结核病检测结果。[147]
如果旧护照上的英国签证仍有剩余有效期，在换发新的护照之后，护照持有人无须将旧护照上的英国签证转移到新护照上，但在进入英国时必须能够同时出示新旧护照。[148]
如果贴有英国签证的护照丢失或者被盗，申请必须再次全额支付签证费，并可能会在申请替代签证时要求证明前往英国的目的没有改变。然而，在申请替代的Tier 4/Tier 2签证时，不需要新的“学生录取确认函（CAS）”/“担保人证明（COS）”。[144]

Since 20 May 2019, the majority of individuals from Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea and the USA (known as B5JSSK nationals) have been able to use the eGates at UK airports, sea ports and Brussels and Paris Eurostar terminals, to enter the UK. Those individuals wishing to do so must hold a biometric passport. Those individuals not in possession of a biometric passport will be processed by a Border Force Officer at the manned passport control point. They will not have their passports endorsed with a stamp, instead individuals will be informed of their leave and its associated conditions orally by a Border Force Officer.
