看到怀俄明州的地名滿多您找不到翻譯，這個繁體英漢字典有幫助。那個網站的百科全书類似大英百科一樣的訂購（每年150人民幣），但是字典目前免費。如果字典找不到，就Chinese Google啦。--Menchi 2003年7月6日 11:23 (UTC)
- 谢了，其实我也不太清楚地名的翻译应该音译还是音译+意译。好像大陆有一个译地名表，其实我很多单词都是在yahoo中文那里查的。 另外，我现在还没有电脑，我都是借同学的电脑上线的。其实我的英文不好，如果没有的翻译软件（我用的是金山词霸）就没有办法翻译了。我想我的词汇还没到3000吧！让您见笑了，呵呵。--Samuel 2003年7月6日 11:54 (UTC)
- 您英文夠好了啦,在您的英文版介紹,沒寫廣州的話,都看不出來是學習者寫的.用字典和翻译软件沒什麼事.直到我的翻译软件壞掉,我才改用字典的.
- 幾乎全部地名都是音译.簡單的英文有些是意译,但是有些有名的大城是奇怪的早期翻譯(San Francisco = 聖福蘭西斯哥 = 舊金山).

我关于音乐一项的文章主要是自己写成的，外加查了一些书，具体从哪本书里引用的材料也要列出来？... 图片部分是我从网上各处没有确切要求保留版权的地方找来的，应该不会有什么问题。与文章想对应的乐谱和相关符号是我亲手制作，没有问题。 我来这里不久，一些功能还没入门，还有对哪些条目是否属于百科类的不是很确定，因为音乐方面有些条目实在是很细，我不知道有没有必要一一增加。 请务必回复一下...让我有个底，我是第一次用这样的留言系统...Rrrttt 09:13 2003年10月21日 (UTC)
- 对于从其他地方来的图像的使用，只要作者没有声明放弃版权或在gnu以及类似协议下发布，那么就认为该图像是有版权的。并且，注明图像的出处有利于其他读者的阅读。当然，你可以向图像的拥有者申请授权，并在描述页上注明授权状况，也可以在这里使用--Shizhao 09:20 2003年10月21日 (UTC)

- I think the correct ordering shall be: "破坏新加坡使馆的计划" or "炸毁新加坡使馆的计划". The difference of the two titles: (1) "破坏" == destroy; (2) "炸毁"==destroy with bombs -- 石添小草 07:20 2003年12月19日 (UTC)

- It would be a bit more friendly to leave me a message rather than simply listing the page on votes for deletion, but anyway... I hear there is already a page that has this information, so if you could provide me a pointer, I'd appreciate it.
- The reason I started the page was that I am writing an article about Wikipedia for an East Asian audience (non Chinese speaking) and wanted to mention Chinese Wikipedia. I thought it would be better for the community to speak for itself and describe itself. That is, use Wiki content to talk about Wikipedia, rather than a single outside author. The resulting article would help provide more publicity for ZH Wikipedia and get more contributors here. Hope you find it a worthy goal too. Fuzheado 07:46 2004年1月7日 (UTC)

- Sorry, edit conflicts galore! Here is what I wanted to say before:
- That page seems to be a timeline, but there is not much else on it. Let me elaborate a bit more -- I'm writing an article for a media digest about the Wikipedia phenomenon, and it will be published out of Hong Kong, in English, for the Asia audience. I would like to provide some publicity and insight into the Chinese WP. Myself, I'm very active on EN Wikipedia, an admin, on the IRC channel, etc. However, the best people to talk about this would not be me (a so-so Mandarin speaker and terrible reader) so I thought, "What better way than to have the ZH WP community write that section itself, collectively, using a Wiki, and include it into the article." Now, this is NOT me being lazy and having others do my job. This is a way for the small, young ZH Wikipedia community to speak for itself, and in the process, publicize itself in the Asia region and show what a Wiki can produce. It's quite astonishing ZH WP is so low on the list of largest Wikipedias and that it trails Catalan (Catalan?!?). It should be in the top ten, without question. And I hope I can do my part to help publicize the fine work you folks are doing, and get more participants.

我是个新手，有些规矩不大懂，可是我有便利的上网条件，也愿意为维基百科出点力，我刚才为母校西北工业大学添了一个简介，是从学校网站粘过来的。我想学校是很希望握着样做的，不可能侵犯什么版权的，可是正在我编辑时，被提醒要被删除。我想问我是否需要想学校申请获得粘贴的许可？或者我能否声明自己对其版权负责，从而免去这些被删除的提醒。--BigBen
- It doesn't matter, but it's suggested not to copy text directly from Internet, because anything publish on this website will go under GNU license(you should check it out and read it on 版权信息). If you haven't asked for permission from the officials of that school, I don't think that's appropriate. GNU entitles everyone to edit or modify that text, and you have to give up the copyright of that text! BTW, are u in Canton? - 我反而覺得這些表面工作在現時還不太重要。en:有二十萬條條目，所以才有“精”可“選”。但我們只有五千條，質素好的條目也不知有沒有十分一。看我們首頁的“条目精选”，當中鏈接了二十條條目（但有五條“精選條目”跟本不存在！），一條是侵權（格莱美音乐奖），一條是兔尾巴（拉丁字母表只有一句中文，其餘內容是英文），一條是文章鏈接列表（中国文学，在我而言列表根本不是百科全書條目）。有豐富內容的條目大概只有禽流感、玛格丽特·杜拉斯、中国行政区划、加州和新加坡教育五條吧。（這一欄的問題還有不少：如有關中國的條目佔三成（同類的XXX行政區劃竟然同時出現），有關美國的則佔兩成。有關自然科學的只有一條，而歷史和政治就佔一半。這樣的編排怎能表達維基百科國際性、多樣性和原創性的性質呢？實際上我認為如果我們真的沒有足夠的好條目，就乾脆不要“條目精選”一欄吧。） --Lorenzarius 15:48 2004年2月24日 (UTC)
