巴塔哥古企鵝（學名：Palaeospheniscus patagonicus）是古企鵝屬 的模式種。他直立可以達到65至75厘米高，大約與南非企鵝體型相同。
描述[編輯]
學者通過在蓋曼組（英語：Gaiman Formation）早中新世地層中發現的幾十塊骨頭中得知這一物種的存在。目前有明確發現地的標本是在阿根廷丘布特省的特雷盧和蓋曼附近採集的[1]
威氏古企鵝（學名：Palaeospheniscus wimani）可能是巴塔哥古企鵝的同物異名。[2]
