巴里·基奥恩1992年10月18日[5]生于都柏林，在夏山（英语：Summerhill, Dublin）长大[6]母亲与毒瘾抗争，并在他12岁时去世[7]。他和弟弟艾瑞克（Eric）在13个寄养家庭中度过了七年的寄养生活，之后由祖母、阿姨和姐姐杰玛（Gemma）抚养长大[8][7]。
