蟠形總目

'蟠形目（學名：'）是倍足綱的一個目，屬於唇颚亚纲（Chilognatha）的五带马陆下纲（Pentazonia）。

分類

馬陸的生物學及分類學的科學研究被稱為「Diplopodology」：也就是倍足綱物種研究。現時有大約1.2萬個馬陸的物種被描述，但估計現存在地球的馬陸物種恐性達1.5到2.0萬種，有文獻甚至估計有8萬種。

根據2011年的分類，倍足綱的現存種可大致分為兩個亞網，16個目：

• 唇颚亚纲（Chilognatha）：包括本綱絕大多數物種，可再分為：
  • 五带马陆下纲（Pentazonia）：containing the short-bodied pill millipedes
    • Limacomorpha
      • Glomeridesmida
    • 蟠形目（Oniscomorpha）
      • 球马陆科（Glomeridae）
      • 蟠馬陸科（Sphaerotheriidae）
  • 蠕形马陆下纲（Helminthomorpha）：worm-like millipedes) containing the great majority of the species
    • 刺馬陸總目（Nematophora）：
      • Callipodida目（Pocock, 1894）：有三個亞目，按Stoev, Sierwald & Billey 2008的編排。
      • 泡马陆目（Chordeumatida Pocock, 1894）：有四個亞目，當中有八個屬在Hoffman (1980)屬於科地位未定，現時按Shear (2000)編排略作修訂。
      • Stemmiulida目 Cook, 1895：
      • Siphoniulida目 Cook, 1895：Shear (2011)基於其male gonopod structure and the presence of spinnerets而歸入本總目；在這之前，Shelley (2003)將之列於Helminthomorpha下綱之下的地位未定分類。
• Penicillata亞綱：只有Polyxenida（bristle millipedes）一個目。

• 原多足亚綱 Archipolypoda†
• 毛尾马陆亚纲 Pselaphognatha
• Zosterogrammida亚纲†

以及一個亞綱地位未定的化石種Eileticus†属。
