毛螺菌科是梭菌目的一个科,主要在人类和哺乳动物的 肠道细菌.[11][12][13] 该科的所有种均为厌氧菌。 该科成员通过产生 丁酸可以预防人类 结肠癌[14] 已经发现,毛螺菌科会导致无菌小鼠发生糖尿病。[15]
