特征
高跷鹬体重约57.24克，翼长约126.8毫米，嘴峰长约43毫米，喙宽度约2.8毫米，喙厚度约4.8毫米，跗蹠长约40毫米，尾长约49.6毫米。高跷鹬是候鸟，其栖息在开放的湖泊、沼泽等湿地环境中，食性为肉食性，主要食物来源是水生动物。[3]
分布
繁殖于北美洲北部；越冬于美国西南部至南美洲南部越冬。[4]
