科普特字母是一個位於基本多文種平面的Unicode區塊，收錄了書寫科普特語和努比亞語（英语：Nubian languages）的科普特字母^[3]。在4.1版本之前，希臘字母和科普特字母中的字符被專門用來書寫科普特語文本，不過科普特字母雖然源自希臘字母，但兩者卻並不是完全等同，因此有必要將它們分開^[4]。希臘字母和科普特字母區塊中出現的科普特字符不會在本區塊中再次編碼。
