湯姆·候活(Tom Howard，1950年2月23日 - 2010年1月29日)是一位美國的鋼琴家、編曲家及作曲家。在基督教音樂圈子裏，他被譽為「基督教新紀元音樂的先驅者」(a pioneer of Christian New Age music)。

生平[编辑]

湯姆·候活成長於明尼蘇達州的Twin Cities。年青時開始接觸搖滾音樂及學習鋼琴，後曾在學院取得樂理及作曲的學位。七十年代，候氏曾與當時著明的基督教音樂人Larry Norman合作及巡迴演出及錄製唱片，候氏更於1977年灌錄首張個人唱片 "A View from the Bridge"

1985年至1987年間，候氏創作了"The Harvest"、"The Hidden Passage"及"Solo Piano"三個以鋼琴獨奏為主體的音樂專輯，當中部份音樂改編至傳統聖詩，編曲時揉合了新紀元(New Age)音樂的特色，聽起來給人寧謐、安詳的感覺。

2010年1月29日，候氏與妻子Dori於納什維爾的Edwin Warner Park遠足時心臟病發，享年59歲。
