美國博雅學院
美國博雅學院（英文：Liberal Arts Colleges，又譯文理學院）是一種在美國提供本科教育的高等教育機構，為學生提供四年的課程，最終畢業生會獲得文學士或理學士的學位證明。相較於綜合型大學，美國的文理學院通常沒有研究生課程。[1]

美國文理學院是美國高等教育中以博雅教育為主的本科教育機構。《簡明大英百科全書》將博雅定義為「旨在傳授一般知識和發展一般智力能力的學院或大學課程，與專業、職業或技術課程相對照」。[2]一般來說，在文理學院的全日制四年學習課程會讓學生獲得文學學士學位或理學學士學位。
這些學校是美國的高等教育機構，傳統上強調本科階段的互動教學，儘管研究仍然是這些機構的組成部分。 雖然美國沒有全國性的法律標準，但「大學」一詞主要用於指定研究生教育和研究機構，並保留用於授予博士學位的機構[3]，美國的一些州，如馬薩諸塞州，只有在提供多個學科的研究生課程時，才授予學校「大學地位」。[4]
這些學院鼓勵高水平的師生互動，以全職教師授課為中心。文理學院以住宿制而聞名，其入學人數、班級規模和師生比例可能低於一般大學。[5]
