英女皇

英女皇在香港意指英國的女性君主，與「英女王」（英語：The Queen）同義，前者流行於香港、澳門和海外港人聚居地的用詞。

有說法指使用「皇」字而非「王」字，用意在於昔日列強與積弱的清朝皇帝平起平坐之意。實際上此用詞為官方和民間廣泛採用，而香港的左派報章和團體雖然使用「英女王」，但仍有例外（如使用「皇仁書院」而非「王仁書院」）。

• 維多利亞女皇：「Her Majesty Victoria, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen, Defender of the Faith, Empress of India.」，因兼任印度女皇而成為唯一一位真正擁有「女皇」（英語：Empress）頭銜的英國女性君主。

有觀點亦指出英女皇與「印度女皇」（Empress of India）兩個用詞分別指兩個獨立不同的稱號。一般而言，在港澳地區，英女皇現指伊利沙伯二世，亦可指維多利亞女皇和其他歷史上的英國女性君主；而單純使用「英女王」則易與「英格蘭女王」(Queen of England) 另一頭銜的概念混淆。 時至今日，現任英國君主的完整頭銜為「伊利沙伯二世陛下，蒙上帝恩典，大不列顛及北愛爾蘭聯合王國及她其他領土和屬地女王，英聯邦元首，信仰捍衛者」（Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith）。

• 英女皇一詞也衍生出2006年電影《英女皇》（The Queen）的香港版中文名稱。其女主角海倫·美蘭奪得第79屆奧斯卡金像獎最佳女主角。該電影的背景為九十年代。
