薩奧文明
薩奧文明是前6世纪或前5世纪至16世纪期間中部非洲境內出現的一個文明。[1] 薩奧文明由萨奥人創造，萨奥人主要居住在沙里河流域附近，這些地方后来成为喀麦隆和乍得的一部分。 [2]大约在16世纪的某个时候，萨奥人開始皈依伊斯兰教。如今生活在喀麦隆北部和乍得南部的萨拉人自稱是萨奥人的后裔。
