描述

Des Voeux Road Central, Central District, Hong Kong Island, September 1945.

In the foreground, on the left, is the Chartered Bank of India, Australia, and China (later named Standard Chartered Bank), and next to it is the Bank of Canton. A tall building, further on the right, is the Bank of East Asia. A corner of Prince's Building is seen on the right. A double-decker tramcar is rounding the bend where Ice House Street crosses Des Voeux Road.
