The Government forbids and/or discourages hanging the standard flag vertically (regardless of whether the canton is placed in the upper left of upper right). See Symbols of National Greatness. Nonetheless, the placement of the canton in the upper right corner is consistent with the 2:3 version of the vertical flag in the 2012 and 2016 Olympic flag manuals; see link below. |
