English: Mrs Devereux and her daughter celebrate Christmas at their home in Pinner, Middlesex, 1944.
Mrs Devereux and her daughter Jean pull a Christmas cracker in front of their Christmas tree at their home in Pinner, Middlesex. Trooper Devereux, whose photograph can be seen on the Christmas tree, is serving in Italy and bought the tree as a present for 12 year old Jean under a YMCA scheme.

This photograph D 23008 comes from the collections of the Imperial War Museums.

The image was catalogued by the IWM as created for the Ministry of Information, which was dissolved in 1946. Consequently the image and faithful reproductions are considered Crown Copyright, now expired as the photograph was taken prior to 1 June 1957.
