English: Voters arriving at a polling station in the Italian Hospital, Queen Square, Holborn, London to cast their vote in the General Election of 1945.
Three young women arrive bright and early at the polling station to cast their vote in the General Election on their way to work. According to the original caption,the polling stations open at 7am and stay open until late in the evening. This polling station is in the Italian Hospital on Queen Square in Holborn.

This photograph D 25102 comes from the collections of the Imperial War Museums.

The image was catalogued by the IWM as created for the Ministry of Information, which was dissolved in 1946. Consequently the image and faithful reproductions are considered Crown Copyright, now expired as the photograph was taken prior to 1 June 1957.
