English: Abbott's babbler, a member of the Pellorneidae family, is a bird species with a widespread distribution along the Himalayas in South Asia, extending into the forests of Southeast Asia. This plain and sandy-brown babbler exhibits distinctive orange-tan tones on the sides, complemented by grayish tones on the face and a substantial bill with a hooked tip. Preferentially inhabiting degraded and secondary forests, Abbott's babbler engages in slow and methodical foraging on or near the ground, in contrast to the frenetic energy observed in some other babbler species.
