紐波特（英語：Newport），位於美國羅德島州南部，是紐波特縣縣治，距離州首府普羅維登斯37公里，距離波士頓98公里。面積29.7平方公里。根據美國2010年人口普查，共有24,672人^[3]，其中白人佔84.12%、非裔美國人佔7.75%、亞裔美國人佔1.33%。

紐波特是紐英倫的避暑勝地，以豪宅著稱，亦是沙爾瓦·瑞金納大學和紐波特海軍基地（包括海軍戰爭學院、海軍水下戰中心和一處美國海軍培訓中心）的所在地。新港是18世紀的重要港口城市，現在擁有美國所有城市中數量最多的保存下來的殖民時期建築^[4]。在總統德懷特·D·艾森豪威爾和約翰·F·甘迺迪任期內，新港被稱為「夏季白宮」之城。

帆船[編輯]

紐波特被譽為世界帆船之都（Sailing Capital of the World）^[5]^[6]，除了是1930至1983年間美洲杯帆船賽的比賽場地之外，國家帆船名人堂（英語：National Sailing Hall of Fame）亦於2019年從安納波利斯遷到此處^[7]。

網球[編輯]

紐波特賭場為最初的美國草地網球公開賽的比賽場地，由1954年開始亦是國際網球名人堂場館的所在地。

高爾夫球[編輯]

紐波特鄉村俱樂部是第一屆美國業餘賽和第一屆美國公開賽的舉辦場地。
