English: Red line on this chart represents the share of the overseas troops of the USA, based on the data from the United States Department of Defense. Black line represents troops that fall under 'Undistributed' category in the reports (e.g. no country of dislocation is indicated). There is no data for years 1951 and 1952 --- period of the Korean War. Since 2003 deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq/Kuwait are counted separately (Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn), however those troops have been deployed mostly from the Continental US, thus they were added to 'Total - Foreign Countries' category numbers. 'Total - Undistributed' is already included in 'Total - Foreign Countries' in the reports. For September 2010 an estimate of 219,190 troops are in OND and OEF category, plus 162,437 troops are in 'Undistributed' category, making a total of 381,627 troops not stationed in the 'allied countries'. The data for the chart calculation is below.
