English: Pictured is HMS TRENT being escorted into Odesa harbour by Ukrainian tugboats.The ship is visiting Odesa to deliver a package of maritime training to members of the Ukrainian Navy. This is part of Operation ORBITAL’s Maritime Training Initiative, which is a series of training packages which are aimed at developing the capability and capacity of the Ukrainian Navy, enhance interoperability between the UK and Ukraine, and build resilience against malign actors in the region.HMS Trent is the third of the five new Offshore Patrol Vessels being built to replace the current River Class vessels.She is designed for: counter-piracy, anti-smuggling, fishery protection, border patrol, counter terrorism, humanitarian aid, search and rescue, general patrols and defence diplomacy.
