The monument of a paper plane flying up into the sky is located in front of the station east exit rotary. The exterior of whole three-storied station building is designed to look like a "Henri Farmanbiplane", Farman III, which is officially the first powered aircraft in Japan, the clock, above the entrance, as its propeller, and was selected as 100 Train Stations in Kantō by the MLIT in 1998. In the background is the high-rise condominium "Forus Tower Tokorozawa" in Motomachi district, near Tokorozawa Station.
