刺

在植物形態學中，刺是指植物中具有尖端的堅硬構造。不同的植物有不同的生長與發育，各別由植物的器官、莖、托葉、葉脈或纖毛中特化而來。植物的刺可分為：
- 莖刺（thorn）：特化的枝幹或莖。可能為簡單的或分歧的。
部份學者不喜歡區分莖刺和葉刺，因為和毛刺不同，前兩者都含有維管束[3]。
