巨谐蛙（学名：Conraua goliath），又叫霸王蛙、歌利亚蛙，是巨谐蛙属的一种蛙，是现存最大的蛙[2]，首尾长可达32厘米（13英寸），重可达3.25千克（7.2英磅）。它仅分布于喀麦隆到赤道几内亚的地区内[3]，由于人类的捕食、宠物贸易和栖息地破坏而数量不断减少。[1]
特征[编辑]
其两性异形特征不明显[4]，重600—3,250 g（1.3—7.2磅），首尾长17—32 cm（7—13英寸）[3]，眼睛直径可达2.5 cm（1.0英寸）。

繁殖[编辑]
它是一种水生蛙，产卵于水中植物上。它没有声囊，因此不像很多蛙一样靠声音来吸引配偶[3]。它一次能产成百上千的卵，单个直径3.5 mm（0.14英寸）[5][6]。雄蛙负责以碎石筑巢，雌蛙负责守卫。[6]
食物[编辑]
其蝌蚪素食，仅吃Dicraeia warmingii（川苔草科，生长于急流中）这一种植物[2]，但成体会捕食其他小型蛙类、螃蟹、龟、蛇、鱼等。其胃中曾发现过蝙蝠。[7]
人工饲养[编辑]
霸王蛙有时会作为宠物，但因难以适应人工环境，成活率低。
