真理符应论

真理符应论是某些哲学家对命题是非的看法,真理符应论主要认为一道命题的是非乃决定于那命题是否与事实相符。在形而上学语言哲学中,真理符应论指出,一个陈述的真假仅取决于它与世界的关系以及它是否准确地描述(即对应于)那个世界。[1]

真理符应论声称真实的信念和真实的陈述对应于实际的事态状态。 这种类型的理论试图在一方面建立思想或陈述与另一方面的事物或事实之间的关系。例如,真理符应论者会认为“雪是白的”这道命题只有在雪真的是白色的情形下才是正确的。若雪事实上是黑色的,那么“雪是白的”这道命题就不正确。
