M81星系团是位于大熊座，包含著名的M81、M82和其他依些视亮度较高星系在内的星系集团 ^[1]，而集团大概的质量中心距离地球约360万秒差距，是距离本星系群最近的星系集团^[1]。估计这个星系团的总值量约为（1.03 ± 0.17）×10¹² M_☉ ^[2]。 M81星系团、本星系群和其他依些邻近的星系集团都属于室女座超星系团（本超星系团）^[3]。

注意：考虑到NGC、IC、UGC、和and PGC数字的使用会更容意参照，使用于上表的名称有些与Karachentsev 使用的名字不同。

星系团内的交互作用[编辑]

M81、M82和NGC3077彼此之间有着强烈的交互作用^[5]。引力间的交互作用从这三个星系中都剥离了一些氢气体，导致有些气体的丝状结构存在这些星系之间^[5]。甚至，还导致M82和NGC3077中心的一些星际介质因为交互作用而成线杂乱的情形，进而使这二个星系的中心成为星爆星系（有大量恒星形成的星系）^[5]。
