《I Could Be the One》在瑞典最熱榜上排名第3，同時在世界範圍內也大放異彩。在英國，歌曲於2013年2月17日至23日登上英國單曲排行榜榜首，它也成為了艾維奇和尼基·羅米洛在英國的首張冠軍單曲[9]。在英國舞曲排行榜（英語：UK Dance Singles and Albums Charts）上，《I Could Be the One》同樣登頂榜首，領先排在第三名的鮑爾歌曲《Harlem Shake》[9]。

2012年12月24日，《I Could Be the One》首次在YouTube上發布了一段音樂錄影帶，視頻總長度為4分46秒[10]。該片由彼得·黃（Peter Huang）執導，並獲得了2013年青年導演獎（Young Director Award）非歐洲音樂錄影帶一等獎[11]。

伊妮莎·弗蘭托夫斯基（Inessa Frantowski）在視頻中飾演一位在辦公室工作的女性[12]。她很討厭自己的工作，討厭早上的例行公事和同事們的態度。接下來她在房間裡醒來，旁邊是一個用過的保險套，一個男人躺在床上。當她打開房門時，看到了陽台和美麗的海灘。她在房間裡找到一份「待辦事項清單」，唯一的「工作」就是「不要跟他做愛」。還有幾張她自得其樂的照片：在海灘上散步；摧毀了一個小女孩的沙堡（並伸出手指）；在餐館裡吃了點食物，然後親吻服務員；在俱樂部里和一個男人跳舞，然後在遊艇上與他發生性關係。然後她在自己公寓醒來，所有的一切都是一場夢。她去看心理醫生，醫生只給她開了「更多的藥片」。回到辦公室，她坐在辦公桌前，聽著同事們平淡的談話。最後，她瘋狂地開始破壞辦公室，到處亂扔文件，毀壞了一台傳真機，侮辱和攻擊幾個同事，然後衝出了辦公室大門。最後一幕是她用手機預訂去巴貝多的單程機票。當她穿過馬路走向轎車時，她被一輛車牌為2Late的送貨車撞倒。她能否活下來還不得而知[12]。
