棕尾鶲鴷（學名：Galbula ruficauda），是鴷形目鶲鴷科鶲鴷屬下的一種鳥類。^[2]

命名與分類[編輯]

棕尾鶲鴷是法國博物學家喬治·居維葉於1816年所描述的物種。^[3]^{[註 1]}其模式產地位於法屬圭亞那開雲。^[5]^:325其屬名Galbula來自瑞典生物學家卡爾·林奈賦予綠尾鶲鴷（英語：Green-tailed jacamar）的種小名galbula，原指稱一種黃色的小鳥，現被後來的研究者認為是指某種黃鸝。^[6]^:169種小名ruficauda由來自拉丁語的rufus（意指「紅色、紅潤的」）及cauda（意指「尾巴」）組成。^[6]^:223

亞種與分佈地[編輯]

棕尾鶲鴷目前有六個亞種：^[2]

G. r. ruficauda：指名亞種，主要分佈於哥倫比亞、委內瑞拉、圭亞那、巴西、千里達及托巴哥。
G. r. melanogenia：分佈於墨西哥南部至厄瓜多西部之間，是由英國動物學家菲利普·斯克萊特於1852年描述的物種。^[8]
G. r. pallens：分佈於哥倫比亞北部，是由美國動物學家奧特蘭·邦斯（英語：Outram Bangs）於1898年描述的物種。^[9]
G. r. brevirostris：分佈於哥倫比亞東北部和委內瑞拉西北部，是由美國鳥類學家查爾斯·B·柯瑞（英語：Charles B. Cory）於1913年描述的物種。^[10]
G. r. rufoviridis：分佈於巴西中部及南部、玻利維亞北部和巴拉圭，是由德國鳥類學家吉恩·路易斯·卡巴尼斯於1851年描述的物種。^[11]
G. r. heterogyna：分佈於玻利維亞東部和巴西西南側，是由美國鳥類學家沃爾特·埃德蒙·克萊德·托德（英語：W. E. Clyde Todd）於1932年描述的物種。^[12]

形態描述[編輯]

棕尾鶲鴷的體長64—74公分，體重平均約26.5公克。其鳥喙寬平均約5.4公釐、深平均約7.0公釐、嘴峰長平均約53.8公釐，翼展130—150公分、翼長平均約78.3公分；跗蹠平均長約11.3公釐，尾長平均約10.1公分。^[13]

棕尾鶲鴷受到狩獵壓力、人類干擾和棲息地喪失的影響。^[14]

數量及保育情形[編輯]

棕尾鶲鴷目前被預估有50萬至500萬隻成鳥，雖然牠們能容忍一定程度的棲息地喪失，但仍被認為數量正在減少。^[14]因其廣大的分佈範圍，《國際自然保護聯盟瀕危物種紅色名錄》將棕尾鶲鴷列為無危物種。^[1]^[14]
