愛爾蘭問題

愛爾蘭問題（Irish Question），1800年至1920年間困擾大英帝國的國族問題，最通行定義出自1844年英國議員本傑明·迪斯雷利（後來的英國首相）：「A dense population, in extreme distress, inhabit an island where there is an Established Church, which is not their Church, and a territorial aristocracy the richest of whom live in foreign capitals. Thus you have a starving population, an absentee aristocracy, and an alien Church; and in addition the weakest executive in the world. That is the Irish Question.」（中譯：[前略]...饥饿的人口、在外贵族、外国教会，加上世上最弱的执行政府，這就是愛爾蘭問題）。
