联合王国及自治领国王兼印度皇帝乔治六世于1952年2月6日驾崩。其葬礼于1952年2月15日在溫莎城堡圣乔治礼拜堂举行，并葬于英国英格兰温莎城堡聖喬治教堂皇家墓室，后在1969年3月26日迁入乔治六世纪念礼拜堂。

驾崩

由于烟瘾且二战期间操烦国事，乔治六世患有肺癌、动脉硬化以及血栓闭塞性脉管炎。乔治于1951年9月23日进行了肺部切除手术后不曾完全康复。1952年2月5日，乔治与家人在桑德灵厄姆宫用餐后，于晚上10时30分入睡。次日早上7时30分，乔治被发现已在睡梦中驾崩。之后此消息也以“海德公园角”为代号，经由电话传达至白金汉宫。

葬礼

1952年2月15日，國王喬治六世的葬禮在聖喬治禮拜堂舉行，葬於聖喬治禮拜堂皇家墓室。後遷葬於喬治六世紀念禮拜堂。其遺孀伊麗莎白王太后、女兒伊麗莎白二世及瑪格麗特公主、女婿菲利普親王在後來相繼葬入喬治六世紀念禮拜堂。
