English: The Idaho National Guard held a change of command ceremony Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017 at Gowen Field to signify the transfer of authority between outgoing Commanding General Maj. Gen. Gary Sayler and the incoming Adjutant General Brig. Gen. Michael Garshak. The commander in chief, Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter, sitting with Garshak, presided over the ceremony which included a large troop formation, the passing of the colors, and custom military traditions.
