Benton Township is one of the eleven townships of Hocking County, 俄亥俄州, 美国. The 2000 census found 814 people in the township.[3]

Located in the southwestern part of the county, 与以下镇区接壤:
- Laurel Township - 北
- Washington Township - 北east
- Swan Township, Vinton County - 南
- Jackson Township, Vinton County - 东南
- Salt Creek Township - 西
- Perry Township - 北west corner
No municipalities are located in Benton Township, although the unincorporated community of South Bloomingville lies in the central part of the township.
Situated in the heart of the Hocking Hills region, Benton Township includes much of Hocking Hills State Park, including the popular Old Man's Cave and Ash Cave.
Name and history[编辑]
Statewide, other Benton Townships are located in Monroe, Ottawa, Paulding, and Pike counties.[4]
政府[编辑]
镇区有3人组成的理事会管理。理事会理事选举在奇数年11月举行,并在来年1月1日开始四年任期。两名理事的选举在总统选举后一年举行,另一名的选举在总统选举前一年举行。镇区财务官亦由选举产生[5],与一名镇区理事选举同时举行,不过在来年4月1日才开始四年任期。若财务官或理事职位有空缺,将由剩余理事填补。
