Cheshire Township is one of the fifteen townships of Gallia County, 俄亥俄州, 美国. The 2000 census found 1,259 people in the township, 1,038 of whom lived in the unincorporated portions of the township.[3]

Located in the northeastern corner of the county along the Ohio River, 与以下镇区接壤:
- Rutland Township, Meigs County - 北
- Salisbury Township, Meigs County - 北east
- Addison Township - 南
- Springfield Township - 南west corner
- Morgan Township - 西
- Salem Township, Meigs County - 北west corner
Mason County, West Virginia lies across the Ohio River to the southeast.
The farthest upstream Ohio River township in the county, it includes Gallia County's farthest east point.
The small village of Cheshire was located in southeastern Cheshire Township. It was bought out and depopulated by a settlement with American Electric Power Company after longstanding problems with air pollution.

It is the only Cheshire Township statewide.[4]
政府[编辑]
镇区有3人组成的理事会管理。理事会理事选举在奇数年11月举行,并在来年1月1日开始四年任期。两名理事的选举在总统选举后一年举行,另一名的选举在总统选举前一年举行。镇区财务官亦由选举产生[5],与一名镇区理事选举同时举行,不过在来年4月1日才开始四年任期。若财务官或理事职位有空缺,将由剩余理事填补。
