Edinburg Township is one of the eighteen townships of Portage County, 俄亥俄州, 美国. The 2000 census found 2,344 people in the township.[3]

Located in the southeastern part of the county, 与以下镇区接壤:
- Charlestown Township - 北
- Paris Township - 北east corner
- Palmyra Township - 东
- Deerfield Township - 东南 corner
- Atwater Township - 南
- Randolph Township - 南west corner
- Rootstown Township - 西
- Ravenna Township - 北west corner
No municipalities are located in Edinburg Township.
Formed from the Connecticut Western Reserve, Edinburg Township covers an area of 24 sq mi(62 km2).
Name and history[编辑]
Edinburg Township was organized in 1819.[4] It was named for Lewis Eddy, a pioneer settler.[5]
It is the only Edinburg Township statewide.[6]
政府[编辑]
镇区有3人组成的理事会管理。理事会理事选举在奇数年11月举行,并在来年1月1日开始四年任期。两名理事的选举在总统选举后一年举行,另一名的选举在总统选举前一年举行。镇区财务官亦由选举产生[7],与一名镇区理事选举同时举行,不过在来年4月1日才开始四年任期。若财务官或理事职位有空缺,将由剩余理事填补。
