Licking Township is one of the twenty-five townships of Licking County, 俄亥俄州, 美国. The 2000 census found 3,870 people in the township.[3]
地理
[编辑]Located on the southern edge of the county, it borders the following townships and city:
- Heath - 北
- Franklin Township - 东
- Bowling Green Township - 东南
- Thorn Township, Perry County - 南
- Union Township - 西
The city of Heath has annexed parts of northern Licking Township. Much of that area has been moved by the city into its own paper township, but some areas remain in Licking Township.[4] As well, the census-designated place of Harbor Hills is located in the southern part of the township, and the unincorporated community of Jacksontown lies at the center of the township.
Name and history
[编辑]Statewide, the only other Licking Township is located in Muskingum County.
政府
[编辑]镇区有3人组成的理事会管理。理事会理事选举在奇数年11月举行，并在来年1月1日开始四年任期。两名理事的选举在总统选举后一年举行，另一名的选举在总统选举前一年举行。镇区财务官亦由选举产生[5]，与一名镇区理事选举同时举行，不过在来年4月1日才开始四年任期。若财务官或理事职位有空缺，将由剩余理事填补。
