Moorefield Township is one of the ten townships of Clark County, 俄亥俄州, 美国. The population as of the 2010 census was 12,436.[3]
地理
[编辑]Located in the northern part of the county, 与以下镇区接壤：
- Urbana Township, Champaign County - 北
- Union Township, Champaign County - 北east
- Pleasant Township - 东
- Harmony Township - 东南
- Springfield Township - 南
- German Township - 西
- Mad River Township, Champaign County - 北west corner
Part of the city of Springfield, the county seat of Clark County, is located in southwestern Moorefield Township, and the census-designated place of Northridge is located in the township's west.
Name and history
[编辑]Moorefield Township was organized in 1818. It was named after Moorefield, West Virginia (then a city in Virginia), the former hometown of many of its first settlers.[4][5]
Statewide, the only other Moorefield Township is located in Harrison County.
政府
[编辑]镇区有3人组成的理事会管理。理事会理事选举在奇数年11月举行，并在来年1月1日开始四年任期。两名理事的选举在总统选举后一年举行，另一名的选举在总统选举前一年举行。镇区财务官亦由选举产生[6]，与一名镇区理事选举同时举行，不过在来年4月1日才开始四年任期。若财务官或理事职位有空缺，将由剩余理事填补。

[编辑]Moorefield Township is home to Kenton Ridge High School,[1] Northeastern High School,[2] Northridge Middle School,[3] South Vienna Middle School,[4] Rolling Hills Elementary School,[5] Northridge Elementary School,[6] and South Vienna Middle School.[7] All of these are part of the Northeastern Local School District.[8]
