Saint Marys Township is one of the fourteen townships of Auglaize County, 俄亥俄州, 美国. The 2010 census found 11,015 people in the township.[1]

Located in the western part of the county, 与以下镇区接壤：

Most of the city of St. Marys is located in northern Saint Marys Township, and the eastern end of Grand Lake St. Marys and its respective state park are located in the western part of the township.

Saint Marys Township is crossed by the St. Marys River, a tributary of the Maumee River.[2] According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the total area of the township is 36.9平方英里（95.6平方公里）.[1]

Name and history[编辑]

It is the only Saint Marys Township statewide.[3]

Originally part of Mercer County, the township was formed in 1824.[4]

Public services[编辑]

The northern portion of the township is served by the Saint Marys (45885) post office, with the southern portions being split between the New Bremen (45869) and the New Knoxville (45871) post offices.

The majority of the township is in the Saint Marys City School District with the southern portions being split between the New Bremen Local School District and the New Knoxville Local School District. Saint Marys' high school is St. Marys Memorial High School, with the nickname, the "Rough Riders". The school is active in the Western Buckeye League (WBL) in sports. The football team has won three state championships in division 2, in 1990, 1992 and 1993. In 2004 they were state runners up in division 3.
