Tiverton Township is one of the twenty-two townships of Coshocton County, 俄亥俄州, 美国. As of the 2010 census the population was 449.[3]

[编辑]Located in the northwestern corner of the county, 与以下镇区接壤：
- Richland Township, Holmes County - 北
- Monroe Township - 东
- Jefferson Township - 东南 corner
- Newcastle Township - 南
- Butler Township, Knox County - 南west corner
- Union Township, Knox County - 西
No municipalities are located in Tiverton Township.
Name and history
[编辑]It is the only Tiverton Township statewide.[4]
Tiverton Township was organized in 1824 by the name of Union Township, but by 1825, the name was changed to Tiverton.[5][6] It was named for Tiverton, Rhode Island, the former hometown of a large share of the first settlers.[7]
政府
[编辑]镇区有3人组成的理事会管理。理事会理事选举在奇数年11月举行，并在来年1月1日开始四年任期。两名理事的选举在总统选举后一年举行，另一名的选举在总统选举前一年举行。镇区财务官亦由选举产生[8]，与一名镇区理事选举同时举行，不过在来年4月1日才开始四年任期。若财务官或理事职位有空缺，将由剩余理事填补。
