Walnut Township is one of the fifteen townships of Gallia County, 俄亥俄州, 美国. The 2000 census found 924 people in the township.[3]

Located in the southwestern part of the county, 与以下镇区接壤：
- Perry Township - 北
- Green Township - 北east corner
- Harrison Township - 东
- Guyan Township - 东南 corner
- Mason Township, Lawrence County - 南
- Aid Township, Lawrence County - 南west corner
- Symmes Township, Lawrence County - 西
- Greenfield Township - 北west
No municipalities are located in Walnut Township.
Name and history[编辑]
Statewide, other Walnut Townships are located in Fairfield and Pickaway counties, plus a Walnut Creek Township in Holmes County.
Walnut Township was organized in 1819. It was named for the walnut trees prevalent in the area.[4]
政府[编辑]
镇区有3人组成的理事会管理。理事会理事选举在奇数年11月举行，并在来年1月1日开始四年任期。两名理事的选举在总统选举后一年举行，另一名的选举在总统选举前一年举行。镇区财务官亦由选举产生[5]，与一名镇区理事选举同时举行，不过在来年4月1日才开始四年任期。若财务官或理事职位有空缺，将由剩余理事填补。
