Wilson Township is one of the thirteen townships of Clinton County, 俄亥俄州, 美国. It is the least populous township in Clinton County, with 505 inhabitants as of the 2010 census.[3]
地理
[编辑]Located in the northeastern part of the county, 与以下镇区接壤：
- Jasper Township, Fayette County - 北east
- Richland Township - 东南
- Union Township - 南west
- Liberty Township - 西
- Jefferson Township, Greene County - 北west
The entire township lies in the Virginia Military District.
No municipalities are located in Wilson Township, but it does contain the unincorporated community of Bloomington.
Name and history
[编辑]The only Wilson Township statewide, it is named for Amos Wilson, one of the earliest settlers of the county, who arrived in approximately 1796.
The township was erected in 1850 by the Clinton County Commissioners from parts of Union, Richland, and Liberty townships.[4]
政府
[编辑]镇区有3人组成的理事会管理。理事会理事选举在奇数年11月举行，并在来年1月1日开始四年任期。两名理事的选举在总统选举后一年举行，另一名的选举在总统选举前一年举行。镇区财务官亦由选举产生[5]，与一名镇区理事选举同时举行，不过在来年4月1日才开始四年任期。若财务官或理事职位有空缺，将由剩余理事填补。
