At Survivor Series, Sheamus cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and defeated newly crowned champion Roman Reigns, after the latter refused to shake hands with Triple H, to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Sheamus had attacked Reigns prior to the cash-in, and Reigns' reign as champion would only last five minutes and 15 seconds.[1] On the November 30 episode of Raw, Sheamus announced that he had formed his own stable called "The League of Nations" with Alberto Del Rio, King Barrett, and Rusev, with the theme that of all its members were born overseas and became stars worldwide.[2] In the group's debut match that same night they teamed with the WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day to defeat Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and The Usos in a 7-on-4 handicap match.[3]
